Thursday, May 16th 2019

We promised a tonne of action tonight and the teams that played games tonight in the We Are Dublin Senior Camogie League certainly didn’t disappoint. In the eight games played there was as many as 44 goals scored. Now that’s really something.

We’ve plenty to go through so lets get into it.

Inter 1 League, Round 8

It’s an awful phrase but the Inter 1 League is Erins Isle’s to lose. They have put themselves in the perfect position going into the final round. Their 5-16 to 0-04 win over Lucan Sarsfield B tonight has them on 14 points, 2 points clear of Naomh Peregrine.

Peregrines were victorious over Na Fianna by a six point margin tonight, ending their winning streak at four games. Naomh Brid get up to 9 points with their win over Thomas Davis.

Inter 2 League, Round 6

With one round to go it looks like Naomh Padraig will be crowned Inter 2 Champions. Crumlin got the result they needed in their last game tonight, beating CBC/Portobello by 2-14 to 1-14, but Naomh Padraig were 7-11 to 2-02 winners over Faughs/Celtic B, and still have one more game to play.

Elsewhere Whitehall Colmcille finally got a win on the board after beating Naomh Olaf by 2-12 to 0-05

In the final round next week, CBC/Portobello take on Naomh Padraig, Faughs/Celtic B battle Whitehall Colmcille and Naomh Olaf face St. Vincents C.

Junior 1 League, Round 5

St. Oliver Plunkett Eoghan Ruadh steel the top spot on the last night in Group 2 of the Junior 1 League. Their win over Skerries Harps by 7-11 to 4-00 sees them leapfrog Raheny B into first place. So that means Plunketts and Raheny will head for the knockout stages of the competition.

If the calculations are correct Plunketts will face Ballinteer St. Johns B in the semi finals, with Raheny B taking on Kilmacud Crokes B
