The closing games of Inter 1, Inter 2 and Junior 1 take place in the Senior Camogie League tomorrow night

Senior Camogie League

Thursday, May 23rd 2019

We’re slowly wrapping up all divisions in this year’s We Are Dublin GAA Senior Camogie League. Champions have already been crowned in both Senior 1, Senior 2, Inter 1 and Junior 2. And after tomorrow night’s games we’ll confirm the Inter 2 outright winners and the Junior 1 winners.

Congratulations again go to St. Vincents, Good Counsel, Erins Isle and Castleknock, winning the Senior 1 and 2, Inter 1 and Junior 2 divisions. So let’s see who else will be joining them as league winners.

Inter 1 League, Final Round

Erins Isle completed their final round game at the weekend to be named Inter 1 Champions. But there are still three games to be completed in Round 9. Na Fianna B and Lucan Sarsfield B both sit on eight league points in fifth and sixth place respectively but a win for either side tomorrow night would see them finish in third or fourth position. Naomh Bríd, who are currently in third place second placed Naomh Peregrine. And Thomas Davis could lift themselves off the bottom of the table if they can beat Naomh Fionnbarra in their final game.

Inter 2 League, Final Round

As it stands at the top of the Inter 2 table Naomh Padraig should be crowned champions, unless CBC/Portobello can beat them tomorrow night by a clear 22 points. Crumlin have completed their round phase and sit in second position on score difference but can’t influence tomorrow’s proceedings. Elsewhere, Faughs/Celtic, Whitehall Colmcille, Naomh Olaf and St. Vincents C all sit on 2 league points so tomorrow is a big decider in who will stay up and who could be relegated. Watch this space.

Junior 1 League Final

Kilmacud Crokes B and St. Oliver Plunkett Eoghan Ruadh B were successful winners of their respective groups in Junior 1 and now they must square off in the league decider. Plunkett’s only blip along the way was their opening round defeat to Raheny while Kilmacud Crokes were unbeaten right through the competition. This should be a very entertaining match, and too close to call.

Junior 1 League, Relegation Play Off

Never a position any team want to find themselves in but that’s where Naomh Barrog and Naomh Mearnog B find themselves tomorrow. The winner will secure their position in next year’s Junior 1 league with the losers taking the drop to Junior 2. Both sides only managed one tied game through the round phase, but there has to be a winner tomorrow night.

Best of luck to all teams involved in tomorrow evening’s throw ins.
