Three divisions, twelve games, tomorrow night’s We Are Dublin Senior Camogie League Fixtures
Thursday, May 9th 2019
We saw a couple of the divisions in the We Are Dublin GAA Senior Camogie League come to the end of the round stages last night. And tomorrow night will be no different. The Junior 1 league plays out games in the final round, before entering the knockouts. Elsewhere The Inter 1 and Inter 2 Leagues are in Rounds 7 and 5 respectively. Here’s all you need to know.
Inter 1 League, Round 7
With Erins Isle and Naomh Peregrine on 10 points at the top of the Inter 1 table, there’s still time for a few of the teams below them to step up and make a claim. With the top two squaring off tomorrow night there’s a guarantee of dropped by at least one side. With Ballyboden on a bye and on 7 points, Lucan Sarsfield B and Na Fianna B have a great chance to close the gap.
Lucan head to Clanna Gael/Fontenoy and Na Fianna entertain Thomas Davis. Both Clanna Gael and Thomas Davis are bottom of the table and could use the points. Naomh Brid are sitting on 5 points and still have an outside chance of climbing the table. They face Naomh Fionnbarra tomorrow night in their Round 7 game.
Inter 2 League, Round 5
Naomh Padraig, CBC/Portobello and Crumlin are all in with a shout for the Inter 2 title. And with Naomh Padraig on a bye tomorrow night it give the other two sides a perfect opportunity. CBC/Portobello will welcome St. Vincents C in their Round 5 game, while Crumlin entertain Whitehall Colmcille. St. Vincents beat Whitehall on the opening day and haven’t had a win since, while Whitehall are still after their first.
In the last game of the round game tomorrow night Faughs/Celtic B will face Naomh Olaf.
Junior 1 League, Round 5
Just like the Junior 3 league, there’s are four places up for grabs for the Semi Finals.
Kilmacud Crokes go to Naomh Maur tomorrow night knowing they’ve already done enough to secure their last four slot. It’s the second slot in this group that’s up for grabs tomorrow as Erins Isle B head to Ballinteer St. Johns B. With Ballinteer on 4 points and Erins Isle on 3 it’s Isle’s for the taking if they can secure the win. With Naomh Barrog on their bye, that’s their competition over.
A closer situation is playing out at the top of this group, but Raheny B should make the last four on 7 League points. St. Oliver Plunkett Eoghan Ruadh B and Skerries Harps have a point between them and the winner of that game tomorrow will secure the second slot. it will just be down to who top and who’s runner up. Raheny face Good Counsel B tomorrow and even if Counsel win tomorrow, it would have to be by a massive margin if and other results to go their way.
