It certainly feels like were in full swing now. Fourteen of tonight’s fifteen games went ahead, with one being moved to tomorrow. Let’s not waste any time and get you up to speed with all the We Are Dublin GAA / Dublin Camogie Adult Club Championships action.

Senior 2

Good Counsel started this year’s campaign with comfortable 4-12 to 2-07 win over Raheny. This was Raheny’s second game as they rescheduled a later round game for last week against St. Oliver Plunkett Eoghan Ruadh. Sadly it’s their second defeat before heading to Naomh Mearnog next week.

Mearnog’s held Plunketts to a 0-09 a piece drawn game tonight, meaning Plunketts sit at the top of the pile with three points. Next up for Eoghan Ruadh is home tie against Kilmacud Crokes, who had a 2-11 to 0-11 win over Cuala earlier tonight. Up next for Cuala are Good Counsel.

Junior 1

A little ahead of a game scheduled for Thursday Whitehall Colmcille and Faughs/Celtic B squared off tonight in their Junior 1 opener. And the spoils go to Whitehall on a 5-08 to 2-04 victory. Whitehall go into their bye next week with Faughs heading to Kilmacud to face the Crokes B team.

Junior 2

Wins for Good Counsel, Skerries and Naomh Barrog to get the Junior 2 competition up and running. Counsel saw off Na Fianna C by four points on a 2-08 to 2-04 scoreline. Five goals shared between Naomh Mearnog and Skerries Harps tonight. Skerries outscored their opponents in points finishing 2-15 to 3-06. And a goal was all that seperated Naomh Barrog and St. Vincents D tonight. Barrog’s edging it by 4-04 to 3-04

Junior 3

A ten point winning margin for Kilmacud’s C panel tonight, beating Cuala C by 5-03 to 1-05. Both St. Finians and Castleknock B both scored three goals a piece, but Castleknock’s eleven points was better than Finians three for the win.

In Group 2 Erins Isle C fell to near neighbours Naomh Brid B by a 2-13 to 3-05 scoreline. And Ballyboden’s C panel were 4-04 to 2-03 victors over St. Annes

Junior 4

Some big scores registered in Junior 4’s opening night. Lucan Sarsfield D were 13-11 to 3-02 winners over Ballinteer St. Johns C. Beann Eadair played their first Adult Championship game in 28 years tonight and saw off Wild Geese by 11-06 to 1-00. Naomh Pergerine B had a solid 5-07 to 0-02 win over Ballyboden’s B side.

And in Group 2 Round Towers held Cuala scoreless on a whopping 9-16 to 0-00 result.
