The Senior 2 Championship Title is up for grabs tomorrow night in this years We Are Dublin GAA / Dublin Camogie Adult Club Championships

Well we’ve come to the end of another brilliant year. And there have been some amazing games during the We Are Dublin GAA / Dublin Camogie Adult Club Championships.
And tomorrow night sees the last game in this year’s competition take place. The Senior 2 Championship title is up for grabs with a place in next year’s Senior 1 competition also at stake.
After five rounds and two Semi Finals we’re down to the last two teams, St. Oliver Plunkett Eoghan Ruadh and Kilmacud Crokes. The National Sports Campus in Abbotstown will again be the venue for promises to be an amazing matchup between two fiercely competitive sides.
Kilmacud Crokes ended the Round Robin section in pole position, unbeaten, with only a point dropped through a final round draw against Naomh Mearnog. But it was enough to see them take first place. That meant they drew third placed Good Counsel in the last four.
Counsel had been strong competitors throughout the championship and may have fancied their chances against the Stillorgan based side, but Crokes sent a message to whoever their final opponents would be with a sixteen score victory.
Plunketts came through the group in second position, winning three, drawing one and losing one. It was Mearnog’s again who caused a stalemate in their Round 1 game as the sides finished on nine scores each. But in the Semi Finals when the teams met again there was no question who the winners were with fourteen scores between them at the final whistle.
Let’s hope tomorrow’s Camogie action is as exciting as the lead up has been.
