We have new Senior 1 Camogie Champions in this year’s We Are Dublin GAA / Dublin Camogie Adult Club Championships

We expected a massive game this afternoon and we were certainly not disappointed. Both St. Vincent’s and Naomh Jude left everything on the pitch at the GAA’s development centre in Abbotstown but sadly there could only be one winner.
Senior 1 Camogie Championship Final
A huge congratulations to St. Vincents who were the victors this afternoon and are new Senior 1 Camogie Champions. We were treated to some fantastic skill from both sides, but in the second half Vincents proved to have the edge over Judes and punished them at every opportunity. Judes had plenty of chances but sadly couldn’t convert them into scores. They had opportunities in front of goal a few times in the second half but all were soaked up by some very intense Vincent’s defending.
Ultimately two three second half goals, two from Aisling Maher and one from Niamh Hetherton took their toll on Judes, leaving Vincents in pole position as the clock ran down.
We’d like to send our congratulations to St. Vincents on their Championship win, and wish the very best of luck in the Leinster competition.
Junior 3 Shield Semi Final
Three goals seperated Faughs/Celtic B and Lucan Sarsfield C this morning in the Junior 3 Shield Semi Final. Faughs came out on top in the high scoring 7-10 to 4-10. That puts Faughs/Celtic B into this year’s Junior 3 Shield Final.
