Another bumper Sunday in the We Are Dublin GAA / Dublin Camogie Adult Club Championships tomorrow
Sunday, September 29th 2019
We’ve got another action packed Sunday for you in the 2019 We Are Dublin GAA / Dublin Camogie Adult Club Championships. As many as twenty seven games will throw in at either 10:00AM and 12:30pm across the county. We’re into the second last round of the Senior 1 competition, and the last round in Senior 2. The Inter competitions are in rounds 5 and 3 respectively. The Junior 2 Championship is in Round 5 and the remainder Junior competitions hit Round 4.
With Faughs/Celtic getting their first Senior 1 Camogie win last week, they’ll have their tails up as they head to Ballinteer in the hope of another 2 points. Their win over Na Fianna last week lifted them off the bottom of the table.
Na Fianna face another tough test tomorrow against Ballyboden St. Endas. Boden have only lost one of their five games to date and that was against St. Vincents in the opening round. The Mobhi Road side will look for a lift after last week’s loss.
Lucan Sarsfield will look for their third win in six when they head for Skerries tomorrow. Skerries are struggling in Senior 1 and will hope to get that lift they need in the morning.
The game of the round will be at St. Vincents, as the unbeaten Marino panel welcome the reigning champions Naomh Jude. Judes lost to Ballyboden in Round 2 and drew with Na Fianna in Round 4 but have a chance to close the gap tomorrow.
It’s the final round in the Senior 2 Championship. Kilmacud Crokes top the group table and regardless of tomorrow’s result against Naomh Mearnog they’ll qualify for the next stage.
Good Counsel will face St. Oliver Plunkett Eoghan Ruadh in their final game. There’s only one point between them with Good Counsel having the advantage. But Plunketts can still advance if they can get a result in this game.
Cuala and Raheny have yet the register a win as they face each other tomorrow.
With Castleknock on a bye they finish the competition at the top of Group 1. Naomh Peregrine and Na Fianna B will play their final game on Tuesday.
Naomh Fionnbarra will face Naomh Brid tomorrow in their final game. It’s a tall order for Finbarrs but if they can rack up a big score over their opponents they can finish in second place.
In Group 2 Erins Isle lead the pack unbeaten, and face Naomh Padraig tomorrow in their final game. Pats lost to St. Vincents B last week and will look to bounce back and contend.
Vincents head for Ballyboden for their final game, with Boden without a win in two games.
With two rounds to go in the Inter 2 competition, CBC/Portobello and Clann na Gael are neck and neck at the top of the group. CBC will head to Naomh Olaf tomorrow before facing Clann na Gael next week. Clann na Gael play their game against third place Crumlin on Tuesday.
Lucan Sarsfield B and Thomas Davis sit at the bottom of the table and will square off for valuable points in tomorrow afternoon.
Round 4 of this group sees leaders Whitehall Colmcille head to bottom club Naomh Jude B. Erins Isle B and Faughs/Celtic B are both on two points and can make ground on the top two as they face off.
In Group 2 St. Vincents C will look for their third consecutive win as they head for Naomh Maur who are only two points behind them. Ballinteer can also make up some ground if they can get a result against Raheny B.
Naomh Barrog are two wins ahead of the rest of the pack. They play their final round game next week against Na Fianna C. Tomorrow the only game taking place is between Skerries Harps and St. Vincents D, with Skerries hoping to creep up the table.
A win seperates Castleknock and Setanta in Group 1 and as they face each other tomorrow that could all change. Castleknock certainly have the momentum but you can expect an entertaining game.
Faughs/Celtic C have only the one win from Round 2, and head to Cuala B who have yet to bag a win. Kilmacud Crokes need a win tomorrow and welcome St. Finians for their Round 4 game.
In Group 2 Commercials and Naomh Brid B share the top spot Naomh Brid don’t play until Wednesday, but Commercials will face Ballyboden St. Endas C tomorrow before the final round.
Lucan Sarsfield C welcome Erins Isle tomorrow. Lucan can make ground on Ballyboden with a win, even if it’s only until Wednesday.
First placed Lucan Sarsfield D will head to winless Wild Geese in tomorrow’s action. Naomh Peregrine B and Ballinteer St. Johns C go head to head, with Ballyboden St. Endas D facing Beann Eadair.
In Group 2 Na Gaeil Oga and Round Towers square off in a top of the table clash. Cuala C and Na Fianna D are locked on two points each and face each other tomorrow in their Round 4 clash.
