A huge day of games tomorrow across the Dublin Camogie Adult Club Championships
Sunday, September 22nd 2019
We’ve a bumper day to look forward to tomorrow in the We Are Dublin GAA / Dublin Camogie Adult Club Championships. Twenty games will throw in between 9:30am and 12:30pm across all competitions. It’s hard to believe that the Senior 1 competition is already at the fifth round stage.
As the Senior 1 championship table takes shape after four rounds Skerries Harps, Ballinteer St. Johns and Faughs/Celtic are yet to get off the mark. And all three face another stiff challenge tomorrow.
St. Vincents will be Skerries opponents tomorrow, with the Marino side topping the table. They’re still unbeaten and it’s hard to see that statistic changing tomorrow.
Ballinteer head to Naomh Jude, with Judes dropping a point drawing their last game against Na Fianna, St. John’s will be hoping for a rub of the green.
Na Fianna will head to Faughs wanting to make some ground up on on St. Vincents and Ballyboden St. Endas. And Ballyboden have a tasty tie against Lucan Sarsfield, with Lucan already down two results from four.
Plunketts and Raheny played out their Round 4 clash at the end of August so sit out tomorrow’s games in the Senior 2 Camogie Championship. But there ‘s a huge top of the table clash between Kilmacud Crokes and Good Counsel.
Both sides are unbeaten in three rounds but something will have to give way tomorrow. Crokes and Counsel have been in impressive form. Kilmacud have already seen off Cuala, Plunketts and Raheny, with Counsel doing the same.
In the other group game Naomh Mearnog welcome Cuala. Mearnogs are just off the bottom of the table on three points and will be looking to add another two onto that tomorrow. Cuala need a win to kickstart their campaign.
Na Fianna B are yet to get a win after two games and they’ll entertain Naomh Fionnbarra tomorrow who would also love to build on their 5-07 to 2-11 win over Peregrines.
Naomh Brid and Castleknock share the top spot in the group and will square off against each other tomorrow.
in Group 2 there’s only two points between Naomh Padraig and St. Vincents B in the table, and they’ll face each other in the only group game.
Clann na Gael and CBC/Portobello are sitting top of the Inter 2 table. CBC/Portobello play Lucan Sarsfield B tomorrow with Lucan yet to get off the mark. Clann na Gael entertain Thomas Davis who are in the same position as Lucan.
Crumlin and Naomh Olaf will look to make ground on the top two as they square off against each other tomorrow.
First and second square off in Round 3 of the Junior 1 Group 1 table. Only two points seperate Kilmacud Crokes and Whitehall Colmcille so it’s all to play for. Faughs/Celtic B and Naomh Jude B are yet to register a win but both have the opportunity tomorrow.
Naomh Maur, St. Vincents C, Oliver Plunkett B and Ballinteer B are all level on two points in the Group 2 table. Vincents and Plunketts have the chance to pull ahead tomorrow as they face each other in Round 3. The game between Raheny B and Naomh Maur has been moved to a later date.
Naomh Barrog lead the Junior 2 competition unbeaten in three games. They face Skerries who are only one place behind them and can catch up if they can secure a win. Na Fianna C will look to close the gap as they welcome Naomh Mearnog B to home soil.
St. Vincents D and Good Counsel B are level on points heading into their game tomorrow.
Castleknock B are two for two as they head to Faughs/Celtic B tomorrow. Faughs come into the game after a win over Kilmacud Crokes C last week.
Kilmacud will look to bounce back as they head to face Setanta who lost to St. Finians in the last round. Finians will square off against Cuala B in the other group game.
In Group 2, Commercials and Naomh Brid B lead the line. Naomh Brid travel to Lucan Sarsfield C tomorrow. Commercials face St. Annes who have yet to bag a win. Ballyboden St. Endas C will welcome Erins Isle for their Round 3 clash.
Naomh Peregrine B and Lucan Sarsfield D share the top spot in Group 1. Peregrines don’t play their next game until Thursday. Lucan D face Ballyboden D tomorrow. In the other group game, Ballinteer C face Wild Geese with both sides wanting a win.
In Group 2 Round Towers and Na Fianna D play a brought forward Round 5 game with Towers sharing the top spot in the group with Na Gaeil Oga. Gaeil Oga will head to Cuala C for their Round 3 clash.
