Tomorrow sees Round 2 in the Senior 1 competition take place in the Adult Club Championships

Adult Club Championships

Sunday, September 1st. 2019

While a lot of people’s attention will be on Croke Park tomorrow afternoon, let’s not forget there’s the matter of Round 2 in the Senior 1 of the We Are Dublin GAA / Dublin Camogie Adult Club Championships. And we’ve three massive games happening. All throwing in at 10:00am. And if you’re near Ballyboden, Lucan, or Mobhi Road tomorrow morning it’s a perfect way to start your day.

Senior 1 – Round 2
Ballyboden St. Endas v Naomh Jude (Ballyboden)

Reigning Champions Naomh Jude got their 2019 Championship off to the perfect start last weekend. The welcomed newcomers Faughs/Celtic to home turf and finished the game on a 5-16 to 1-01 winning scoreline. For Ballyboden, it wasn’t as good a start. A trip to Marino saw them fall 2-16 to 1-04 against St. Vincents.

Judes and Boden faced each other in the group stages last year, with Judes winning 2-1o to 0-06. Can Ballyboden beat the reigning champions and get their campaign back on track?

Lucan Sarsfield v St. Vincents (Lucan)

Ballinteer were Lucan Sarsfield’s opening day opponents last week and they registered a 2-06 to 0-05 win. They’ll want to keep that momentum up but are facing a very strong Vincents side tomorrow. Vincents were disappointed after last year’s championship and are looking to get back to the top.

Their win against Ballyboden last week was convincing enough and they’ll feel they stand a good chance against Lucan tomorrow.

Na Fianna v Ballinteer St. Johns (Na Fianna)

Mobhi Road side Na Fianna are out to improve on last year’s Championship final appearance and they’ve started strong. Skerries were their first opponents last weekend and Na Fianna had 15 points to spare at full time on a 1-18 to 1-03 scoreline.

For Ballinteer, they’ll want to get a win on the board after losing to Lucan Sarsfield last week. And they’d probably prefer not to be going to Skerries next week after another defeat. But Na Fianna at home are a hard team to beat.
