We roll onto Thursday and more Inter and Junior action in the We Are Dublin GAA Dublin Camogie Adult Club Championships
Thursday, September 9th 2020
Well we’re back down to earth after Castleknock’s Championship win over Good Counsel in last night’s Junior 2 decider in the Camogie Adult Club Championships. And there’s no rest for the wicked as tomorrow there’s even more action in the Inter 2 and Junior 3 and 4 competitions
Inter 2 Championship
It’s the final round tomorrow night in the Inter 2 Championship. And there is still a place to be filled for this championship decider. Ballyboden St. Endas B, who are on their bye in the final week, are clear leaders in this competition. So tomorrow night they’ll hopefully find out who’ll they face in the final.
As it stands Whitehall Colmcille hold that second position, two points ahead of CBC/Portobello and Lucan Sarsfield B. Whitehall will go head to had with Naomh Olaf tomorrow night and a win or a draw will see them through. But if they lose they give a big chance to CBC Portobello or Lucan. They face each other tomorrow night, both hungry to stay in the hunt for the title.
Junior 1 Championship
Kilmacud Crokes B are in pole position in Group 1 of this competition. They’ll be aiming to complete a clear round tomorrow night when they face Naomh Mearnog B knowing they’ve already qualified. Likewise Naomh Maur look to have secured the second slot before tomorrow night’s game against Thomas Davis. They’re level on points with Faughs/Celtic B, but Faughs are already finished their rounds, and Maurs have a better score difference even before tomorrow night’s game.
In Group 2, St. Vincents C and Naomh Barrog are both on 6 points at the top of the table. Naomh Barrog have completed their rounds and are on the bye tomorrow night. St. Vincents head to Ballinteer and depending on the scoreline, Ballinteer have an outside chance of taking the second slot from Barrogs. In the other group game Clanna Gael Fontenoy entertain Erins Isle B go head to head.
Junior 3 and Junior 4 Championship
St. Finians and Setanta will square off tomorrow night in the last of the Junior 3 Championship games before the Semi Finals. And both have the chance to take the second qualifying spot. Setanta currently sit a point above Finians and a point below leaders Naomh Brid B. A win for them would see them overtake Brigids to claim to top spot, with Brigids still qualifying. A win for Finians would see them level on points with Brigids, sending Setanta out of the competition.
In tomorrow’s Junior 4 Group 1 game, Beann Eadair and Ballyboden St. Endas D will go head to head. St. Anne’s are outright winners of the group, and Ballyboden already hold the second slot. But tomorrow’s game is a rescheduled Round 3 clash to finihs out the round robin competition.
