Adult Club Championships

Sunday, September 6th 2020

Tomorrow is always a huge day in the Dublin Camogie calendar. A just because things are a little different this year, it certainly won’t take away from what’s in store in the We Are Dublin GAA Dublin Camogie Adult Club Championships.

We’ve already brought you details and previews of tomorrow’s massive Senior 1 Camogie Championship Final. But we must not forget the other games taking place tomorrow morning. There’s a Senior 1 Shield Semi Final and the Senior 2 Shield Final, along with a rescheduled Round 3 game in the Junior 4 competition.

Senior 1 Championship

In a repeat of last year’s Senior 1 final, St. Vincents and Naomh Jude will go toe to toe once more to decide the biggest prize on the county’s Camogie competition. And while there can be no huge crowd at the National Sports Campus in Abbotstown tomorrow afternoon, the good new is fans can catch all the action on a live stream direct from the Dublin Camogie Facebook page.

If last year’s final is anything to go by, tomorrow will be just as exciting. Of course St. Vincents are reigning champions, beating Naomh Jude by 4-11 to 2-05 in that decider a year ago. But there’s no denying the calibre of both tomorrow’s finalists.

With Na Fianna receiving a bye past the Semi Final stage of the Shield competition, it leaves Faughs/Celtic and Kilmacud Crokes to face each other to determine the second slot. Neither side registered a win in this year’s Round Robin competition, but they have another chance to extend their season.

Senior 2 Shield

It’s Shield Final day tomorrow in the Senior 2 competition. And a last opportunity for Ballinteer St. Johns and Castleknock to pick up a piece of silverware. Both sides registered one win from three in the Round Robin stages. And Castleknock defeated Good Counsel in last week’s Semi Final with Ballinteer receiving a bye to tomorrow’s Shield Final

Junior 4 Championship

Back at the end of last month we were hit with some bad Tuesday night weather resulting in a lot of Junior games postponed. And with some of them already replayed, tomorrow St. Annes and Cuala C get the chance to play their Round 3 game. A win for St. Annes will push them further out in front of the Group 1 table. But if Cuala pick up the win it will see them draw level with their opponents.

Please note all fixtures are correct at the time of this post, but may be subject to change. Stay tuned here and of the official Dublin Camogie website for updates.
