All the results from tonight’s Inter and Junior campaigns in the 2020 We Are Dublin GAA Dublin Camogie Adult Club Championships
Another wet and windy night in Dublin. But another night of action went off in the We Are Dublin GAA Dublin Camogie Adult Club Championships. We had action tonight in the Inter 1 and Inter 2 competitions, as well as the Junior 1 grade. And a rescheduled game to finish the Senior 2 Round Robin section. Here’s all the results.
Senior 2 Championship
The round robin action finished tonight in the Senior 2 competition with one outstanding game in Group 2. And Ballinteer St. John’s they end their campaign with a 2-10 to 1-06 win over Good Counsel. The game itself had no bearing on the final placings in the competition but brings this part of the Championship to a close.
Inter 1 Championship
Erins Isle completed a three for three round phase finishing off tonight with a 4-17 to 2-05 victory over Crumlin, guaranteeing them the top spot in Group 1. And they’ll be joined in the knockout stages by Naomh Peregrine who tonight picked up their second win with a 2-08 to 0-11 result against St. Vincents B. Either of the two sides tonight could have qualified but its Peregrines who secure the slot.
Naomh Brid and Naomh Padriag lead the line in Group 2, but with Na Fianna still with an outstanding game to play the qualifying slots still have a question mark above them. Brigids were 4-11 to 2-02 winners over Naomh Fionnbarra tonight, with Naomh Padraig beating Na Fianna B by 5-04 to 3-04. If Na Fianna beat Finbarrs in their rescheduled Round 1 game on September 3rd that will leave them on 4 points in the table, but they’ll need to win that game by a bog margin to overtake Naomh Padraig in the table to qualify.
Inter 2 Championship
Ballyboden St. Endas B beat Whitehall Colmcille tonight by 3-10 to 0-11 to end at the top of the pile. That’s Boden’s third win on the bounce, but luckily for Whitehall they still remain in second position. Lucan Sarsfield B were in contention for that slot, but despite their 1-13 to 1-03 win tonight over Naomh Olaf, they fall short on points difference. Boden and Lucan will square off next week, with Naomh Olaf facing CBC/Portobello. Whitehall will be on their bye week.
Junior 1 Championship
Kilmacud Crokes and Naomh Maur lead the pack in the Group 1 table even with Maurs on a bye week this week. Crokes beat Thomas Davis by 6-24 to 2-05 tonight giving them their second win of the campaign. Elsewhere Faughs/Celtic B picked up their first win against Naomh Mearnog B on a 2-10 to 1-05 scoreline. Crokes and Maurs go head to head next with Thomas Davis entertaining Faughs/Celtic
In Group 2 a third win on the bounce see St. Vincents C top of the table after their 5-11 to 0-08 victory over Naomh Barrog. They head into their bye next week before facing Ballinteer St. Johns B in the final round. Ballinteer received a walkover tonight from Clanna Gael/Fontenoy. Erins Isle B return from their bye next week to face Clanna Gael.
