We Are Dublin GAA Dublin Camogie Adult Club Championships
Castleknock B and Na Fianna C go head to head tomorrow night in Group 1 of this competition to decide who finishes first and second. Both sides have successfully won their opening two round games.
Na Fianna were 1-06 to 0-05 winners over Skerries Harps B in Round 1, and they followed that with a 2-09 to 0-07 victory over Naomh Jude B to guarantee their Semi Final slot. Castleknock took the same trajectory, beating Judes 5-10 to 2-08 in their opener, and 3-15 to 1-07 winners over Skerries last week. Tomorrow will be an interesting decider. Skerries and Judes will be looking to finish their campaigns with a win.
In The other group Good Counsel B are two for two and should qualify. Their opponents tomorrow night, St. Oliver Plunkett Eoghan Ruadh B are very close and a result could also see them through.
Whitehall Colmcille will have other ideas as they head to Raheny B. Colmcilles are also on level points with Plunketts so there’s everything to play for tomorrow night and Whitehall could still see themselves through to the Semi Finals.
We’re at the halfway point in the Junior 3 competition. In Group 1 There’s only a point seperating St. Finians, Lucan Sarsfield C and Setanta. Finians and Setanta will square off tomorrow night with the winners taking the top spot after three rounds. Lucan can also contend for that spot if they’re winners over Kilmacud Crokes B in their round 3 game.
Naomh Brid, who are in fourth position, could also make ground on the leaders as they entertain Na Gaeil Oga tomorrow evening at home.
In Group 2 and after winning their opening round games, Cuala B and Ballyboden St. Endas C come face to face. Cuala registered a big win over Naomh Mearnog two weeks ago in Round 1. Boden were 4-13 to 2-06 winners over Commercials.
Commercials and Mearnogs face each other tomorrow night with time still to impact the qualifiers.
It’s all to play for in Group 1 of this grade, with St Annes, Cuala C and Ballinteer St. Johns B all on 4 points after two rounds. St. Annes and Cuala will meet tomorrow night, so there will be dropped points somewhere. Ballinteer’s four points have been partly helped by a walkover with Wild Geese which was due to be played tomorrow. Beann Eadair and Ballyboden St. Endas D, who were due to play tomorrow night have postponed their game until September 10th.
In Group 2 with three rounds to go, Round Towers are one point ahead of Lucan Sarsfield D and Naomh Peregrine B in the table. Towers face Na Fianna D tomorrow who are yet to get their first win. Similarly Lucan will welcome Erins Isle C, who are also after their first win. Peregrines head for Faughs/Celtic C. Faughs have one win from two and can still contend with plenty of time to make up ground.
Please note all fixtures are correct at the time of this post but may be subject to change. Keep a close eye here and on the official Dublin Camogie website for further details.
