Relegation will be a strong thought in the minds of the players of both Dublin and Kilkenny this afternoon. The two sides have had false starts in their opening games of the 2023 National Camogie League.
It might be fitness affecting the All Ireland Champions Kilkenny as they’ve faded in the final quarter of both their opening games, losing to both Clare and Galway. For Dublin there was certainly an improvement in their gameplay in the second half of last week’s defeat to Tipperary. And with this being Dublin’s last home tie of the campaign they’ll need to take advantage of Kilkenny’s weak start to the league.
Points are massively important this afternoon and whoever doesn’t come away with them will be left an unenviable task for the final two legs of the league competition.
