The Dublin Senior Camogie team and their counterparts from Kilkenny are both still awaiting their first league points after two straight defeats

There are three changes and a number of positional switches to the Dublin Senior Camogie team for tomorrow’s league tussle with Kilkenny.

Ciara Tierney returns in goal in place of Mari Moynihan, Christine Shanahan comes in at corner back, with Kate Kilcommins unavailable this week Muireann Kelleher, named at full forward for the previous two games switches to the half back line.

There is a switch in midfield with Gaby Couch dropping from the half forward line into the Dublin engine room alongside Elyse Jamieson Murphy and Niamh Gannon moving to corner forward.

The gap left by switching Couch will be filled by Aisling Gannon as the three Gannon siblings are named in the starting fifteen.

Although there was a marked improvement in Dublin’s performance last week against Tipperary they suffered their second straight defeat and were left to rue a number of missed scoring opportunities in the first half which ultimately came back to haunt them by the finish.

Kilkenny visit Parnell Park tomorrow afternoon in a similar situation to Dublin having lost their opening two league games away to Clare and home to Galway and will be desperate to get some points on the board before hosting table toppers Cork in their next round of games.

For the Dublin Senior Camogie team they will want to avoid the position they found themselves in two seasons ago when they faced a relegation play-off to hold onto their Division 1 status and the first steps to avoiding that scenario would be securing the win tomorrow against a Kilkenny side who are similarly struggling in the early stages of the league.

The action gets underway tomorrow in Parnell Park at 2pm and tickets for the game are available from the following link: https://www.universe.com/embed2/events/very-national-league-division-1a-dublin-v-kilkenny-tickets-birr-Y0TN3W
