Dublin County Board Chairman Pat Martin With Catherine Neary President Of The Camogie Association

Pat Martin finishes his term as Dublin Camogie County Board Chairman at this evenings AGM in Parnell Park.

Under his stewardship over the last five years Dublin Camogie has taken huge strides forward and he leaves his post with Camogie in the Capital in a very healthy condition and on the cusp at inter-county level of returning to the glory days.

From all of us here at We Are Dublin GAA we would like to say a sincere thank you to Pat for all his help, kindness and the friendly professional manner he afforded us throughout the last four years and also the belief and trust he placed in our ability to promote Dublin Camogie in the Capital and beyond at both inter-county and club level and affording us the honour as the official media partners of Dublin Camogie.

We would like to wish Pat the very best in his future endeavours.

I would like to take this last opportunity to say my thanks to you and your Club as Cathaoirleach of Cumann Camógaíochta Átha Cliath.

It has been a huge honour and an absolute pleasure to have been your Chairperson for the last 5 years and to have worked as Chairperson with the fantastic hard-working members of the Dublin Camogie Executive, Dublin Camogie Committees, Dublin Camogie Teams and most of all the Dublin Camogie Players.

To our Sponsors AIG, O’Neill’s, We Are Dublin blin GAA & FODH it has been a mighty privilege to have worked along side you in promoting Camogie in Dublin. My sincere thanks to Dublin Ladies Football and Dublin GAA, we have a great respect and esteem for each other which has become a mighty Dublin Family.

I have No doubt that the future is bright and successful for Dublin Camogie and will continue to grow with Jenny Byrne as your new hardworking and very capable Cathaoirleach. Jenny best wishes in your new role and to your new executive. I have and will always love to see the sky blue jersey of Dublin on the steps of the Hogan Stand on any given Sunday in September .. Na Dubs Abu.

Lastly and most importantly to my wonderful wife Sharon and my brilliant Daughters Jessica & Sophia their Love, Support and Understanding in the last 5 years as Chairperson is beyond Belief …. There is truth in the old saying “that behind every Good Man there is an even better Woman” well I have 3 better Women behind me.
