Dublin get their National Camogie League Campaign underway against Kilkenny this afternoon

National Camogie League - Live Updates

Kilkenny v Dublin
Saturday, January 26th. 2:00pm
John Lockes GAA, Callan

The talking is over, the preperations are all but done. And new Dublin manager Frank Browne has chosen his panel to start the 2019 Littlewoods National Camogie League campaign. Dublin couldn’t have asked for a tougher start than against Kilkenny this afternoon. But what better way to prove the work has paid off.

All the pre-season preperations have shown signs of great things to come from Dublin’s first string side and there’s new blood in the ranks. Dublin have appointed Roisin Baker as captain this year, ably assisted by Aisling Carolan. And everyone in the camp is chomping at the bit to get the League underway. They’ll be meeting Offaly, Limerick and Clare during the round phases. But they won’t be looking any further than John Lockes this weekend.

The panel is full of familiar names from Faye McCarthy in goals, right through Alex Griffin, Emma Flanagan, Ali Twomey and Siobhan Kehoe. And of course we see the return of Aisling Maher this year on the full forward line, further strengthening Dublin’s attack. And there’s plenty of new names that everyone will become familiar with over the coming months as Dublin play four round games against Kilkenny, Offaly, Limerick and Clare in the hope of securing a knockout berth.
