Dublin’s Senior and Inter Camogie Champions will start their Leinster Championship journey this weekend

Before this year’s Littlewoods Ireland National Camogie League action gets underway for inter county teams, the club championships in Camogie reach the provincial level over this Saturday and Sunday. And there will be 2 Dublin Camogie sides doing battle in the Senior and Intermediate competitions.

Saturday, January 15th (1:30pm)
Kilmessan v Na Fianna (Intermediate Quarter Final)

On Saturday, Inter 1 Champions Na Fianna will head to Meath. They’ll face Kilmessan in this year’s Leinster Intermediate Camogie Quarter Finals. And it’s a history making journey for the Mobhi Road girls. They are the first Camogie team in the clubs long history to reach the provincial stages of the Championship

Na Fianna - Inter 1 Champions

In an enthralling county final back on October 10th last year, Na Fianna and Naomh Peregrine battled it out for the Inter 1 crown. The crowd at Trinity Sports Grounds were treated to a full hour of action plus four sessions of extra time. The sides couldn’t be seperated. And either side would have been deserving winners at the end of the contest with Na Fianna eventual 6-12 to 4-15 winners over their worthy opponents.

It’s home advantage for their Meath opponents Kilmessan on Saturday and the action gets underway at 1:30pm. For tickets to this Leinster Intermediate Quarter Final just Click Here.

Sunday, January 16th (1:30pm)
Dicksboro v Naomh Jude (Senior Semi Final)

Naomh Jude were crowned Dublin Senior 1 Camogie Champions again this year. And they will head for Kilkenny on Sunday for their Leinster Senior Camogie Semi Final.

For another season, Judes pipped a strong St. Vincents to the post in the county final winning by 1-14 to 0-15. With nothing seperating the sides on October 17th, Judes substitute Hannah Begley scored a pivotal goal in the second half the ultimately left one point between the sides at full time in Abbottstown. So again, the Tymon North girls go in search of Leinster glory, but will have a tough test against Kilkenny champions Dicksboro on Saturday. Support for Judes could again prove vital, and if you’d like to attend the game tickets are available. Just Click Here for details.

From everyone here at We Are Dublin GAA, we’d like to wish both Naomh Jude and Na Fianna the very best of luck this weekend in their respective provincial knock out games.
