Just because the weather is starting to get into it’s usual winter stride there’s no stopping the action in this year’s Dublin Minor Camogie Championship. And a total of nine games were contested this Sunday from the Minor B to Minor E competitions. And with one more week of round games to come, things are really starting to shape up.

Minor B Camogie Championship

Good Counsel made up some ground on group leader St. Oliver Plunkett Eoghan Ruadh at the weekend with a comprehensive win over Cuala. They go to Naomh Brid this weekend knowing they need to win to secure a knockout spot, but Brigids can still sneak into the Semi Finals. Plunkett’s have all but qualified and go to Cuala for their final round game.

Minor C Camogie Championship

With two rounds still to go in Group 1 Naomh Peregrine are leading the pack with three wins from three. Thomas Davis were the latest team to suffer defeat on a score of 4-20 to 0-05. But Peregrines final game is against Whitehall Colmcille who also registered a win on Sunday. Their victory over Naomh Mearnog put them one win off the top spot and they welcome Thomas Davis next weekend.

In Group 2 Naomh Maur bagged their second win of the competition over Naomh Barrog. And that’s Barrog’s second loss on the bounce having been defeated by Naomh Olaf last weekend. Olafs registered a six point win over Raheny giving them two wins from three.

Minor D Camogie Championship

St. Vincents got a vital win over Kilmacud Crokes on Sunday, putting them in second position behind table toppers Na Fianna in Group 1. That puts both sides into the Semi Finals on December 2nd. In Group 2 Faughs/Celtic finished two for two, beating Lucan Sarsfields in their final game. But Lucan’s win over Ballyboden St. Endas is enough to advance to the Semi Finals with Faughs.

Minor E Camogie Championship

With one round still to go Kilmacud have finished unbeaten going into their bye week following their 2-05 to 1-05 win over Erins Isle on Sunday. Cuala got their second win of the competition over Na Fianna to leave them in a good position before playing Isles this weekend. But Isles could still sneak into the Final depending on this result. All the play for.
