Tomorrow night sees the beginning of the Inter 1 and 2 and Junior 5 competitions in the Go Ahead Ireland Dublin Adult Camogie Championship

Tuesday night saw the commencement of this year’s Go Ahead Ireland Dublin Adult Camogie Championship. We had 13 games run off in the Junior 2, 3 and 4 competitions. And there were some fantastic results to get the club championship off to flying start. The competitiions still waiting to start are as follows:
Senior 1 & Senior 2 – Sunday September 5th.
Inter 1 & Inter 2 – Thursday August 26th.
Junior 1 & Junior 5 – Thursday August 26th.
Tomorrow night our attention turns to the opening rounds on both the Inter Camogie Championships and the Junior 1 and 5 Camogie Championships. Here’s everything you need to know.
Inter 1 (Groups A & B)
Eight teams split over two groups will contest the Inter 1 competition this year. Group 1 pairs Raheny, Naomh Peregrine, Na Fianna B and Naomh Fionbarra together. Na Fianna and Peregrines will square off tomorrow night, while Finbarrs will take on Raheny.
In Group B, Naomh Brid, Naomh Padraig, Ballyboden St. Endas B and St. Vincents B will fight for teh knockouts. Ballyboden will entertain Naomh Padraig tomorrow night, with Vincents and Brigids going head to head on the opening round.
Inter 2
CBC/Portobello, Whitehall Colmcille, Naomh Olaf, Kilmacud Crokes B and Lucan Sarsfield Sarsfield B will contest this year’s Inter 2 Championship. Once game tomorrow night as Whitehall will welcome Crokes for their opener.
Junior 1A (Groups A & B)
Six teams will contest the Junior 1A Championship. In Group A Naomh Maur, Naomh Jude B and Ballinteer St. Johns B will play over 3 rounds. Judes and Maur get the action underway tomorrow night with Ballinteer on their bye week.
Faughs/Celtic B, Crumlin and Castleknock will make up Group B. Faughs have their bye week this week. And teh game between Crumlin and Castleknock has been postponed as their are players involved in this weekend’s All Ireland Minor Semi Final between Dublin and Cork.
Junior 1B
Thomas Davis, Naomh Barrog, Naomh Mearnog B, Erins Isle B and St. Vincents C make up this year’s Junior 1B competition. Tomorrow night Mearnogs will take on Vincents, with Thomas Davis taking on Isles.
Junior 5A (Groups A & B)
Another six team competition split over two groups. Naomh Mearnog C, Lucan Sarsfield E and Ballinteer St. Johns D will make up Group A. Ballinteer start their championship on a bye with Lucan and Mearnogs starting the Group A action.
In Group B, Erins Isle C will take on Na Fianna D in Round 1 tomorrow night. Ballyboden St. Endas D wait until Round 2 when they complete their bye week.
Junior 5B
Wild Geese, Cuala D, St. Brendans and Fingallians B make up the grouping for the Junior 5B championship. Tomorrow night Fingallians will square off against Wild Geese, with Brendans and Cuala going head to head.
