We see the beginning of the Dublin Junior Camogie Championships tomorrow night with 10 games throwing in

Yesterday we saw an impressive start to this year’s Dublin Adult Camogie Championships, with the Senior and Inter competitions up and running. From this week every Tuesdat and Thursday the Junior Championships will take centre stage. Thursday will see the the beginning of Junior 4 through 6, but tomorrow night we get Junior 1, 2 and 3 going with 10 games across the grades.
Dublin Junior 1 Camogie Championship
Raheny B secured Junior 1 status this year by capturing the Junior 2 title in 2021. They, along with runners up Fingallians will do battle going up a grade. Raheny start their journey and face Naomh Jude B who were Junior 1 Shield Finalists last year. Shield winner Faughs/Celtic B will face Junior 1 B Finalists Thomas Davis.
Erins Isle B won last year’s Junior 1A Shield and Crumlin in their opening game. For Fingallians, they start Junior 1 life with a clash against Naomh Barrog.
Dublin Junior 2 Camogie Championship
Junior 3B Champions Round Towers of Clondalkin make the step up to Junior 2 this year. And Naomh Brid B who ended the 2021 Championship by securing the Junior 2 Shield will be their opening round opponents. Whitehall Colmcille B will look to improve on last year’s Junior 2 Campaign when they take on beaten semi finalists Na Fianna C in their opener.
Good Counsel B who also reached last year’s Junior 2 Semi Finals will go again, facing Junior 3 Championship Ballyboden St. Endas C as they start life in Junior 2.
Dublin Junior 3 Camogie Championship
Kilmacud Crokes C lost out to Round Towers in last year’s Junior 3B Championship final and will look at going one better this year. Their opening round opponents tomorrow night will be last year’s Junior 3A Shield winners Lucan Sarsfields C.
Junior 4 Champions St. Annes will be chomping at the bit to get up and running in the Junior 3 Championship. And they’ll be facing Clontarf in Round 1. Cuala C will take on St. Finians in Round 1.
All games throw in at 7:00pm tomorrow with first named team having home advantage.
