It’s crunch time tomorrow night as we see the final rounds begin in the Dublin Junior Camogie Championship
Tuesday, August 30th (all throw ins 7:00pm)
Dublin Junior 1 Camogie Championship
Group A
Faughs/Celtic B v Naomh Jude B
Raheny B v Thomas Davis
Group B
Erins Isle B v Naomh Barrog
Fingallians v Crumlin
Naomh Jude B are in pole position on Group A of the Junior 1 Camogie Championship. They’re two for two and head for Faughs/Celtic B for their final round game tomorrow night. They should qualify for the last four in this competition, but with Faughs also fighting for a spot tomorrow’s game keeps everything hanging in the balance. Thomas Davis can also reach the knockouts but will need to see off the challenge of Raheny in their final round game. We could be looking at three teams on four points at the end of the round, then the decisions wlll be on scores.
A similar situation in Group B, with Fingallians sitting at the top of the group on 4 points. They entertain Crumlin tomorrow night who are also contending for a semi final spot. And with Naomh Barrog in search of a win when they face Erins Isle B there could be some head scratching. But Fingallians have one foot in the door.
Dublin Junior 2 Camogie Championship
Group A
Naomh Brid B v Na Fianna C
Whitehall Colmcille B v Round Towers
Group B
Ballyboden St. Endas C v St. Oliver Plunkett Eoghan Ruadh B
Good Counsel (Bye Week)
It’s two horse race in Group A of the Junior 2 Camogie Championship. Both Round Towers and Whitehall Colmcille have secured two wins leaving Na Fianna C and Naomh Brid B out of contention. Whitehall welcome Towers tomorrow night to determine their finishing positions in the table which will influence the knockout draw.
Good Counsel have done all they can to secure a knockout spot in Group B with 2 straight wins. They have no action tomorrow night as they’re on their bye. It’s down to Ballyboden St. Endas C and St. Oliver Plunkett Eoghan Ruadh B to battle it out for the remaining slot in the knockouts. Both have been beaten by Good Counsel nut one win will see one team advance.
Dublin Junior 3 Camogie Championship
Group A
Lucan Sarsfields C v Naomh Jude C
Kilmacud Crokes C (Bye Week)
Group B
Clontarf v Cuala C
St. Finians v St. Annes
Lucan Sarsfields C and Naomh Jude C square off in the final Group A game in the Junior 3 Camogie Championship. Lucan have one win under their belts, beating Kilmacud Crokes in the opening round. Crokes were winners over Judes in Round 2 leaving them with 2 points in the table alongside Lucan. Crokes are on their bye week and can do no more. If Lucan beat Judes tomorrow night it will see them and Crokes advance. If Judes secure a win it will leave all three teams level on 2 points, and we’ll have to get the calculators out.
There’s a four way tie in Group B in this competition. St Finians, St. Annes, Cuala C and Clontarf have all secure one win a piece. So to say it all hangs in the balance is an understatement. Clontarf and Cuala square off tomorrow night with Finians facing Annes. Winners will take all at full time with 2 knockout spots available.
We’ll have a full round up on all of tomorrow night’s results after the full time whistle so be sure to chack back then.
