Division 1 of the 2022 National Camogie League begins on the weekend of the 5th/6th of February
The 2022 National Camogie League fixtures have been released and the Dublin Senior squad will start their campaign at home to All Ireland champions Galway on the weekend of the 19th/20th of February.
After securing their Division 1 status last year with victory over Waterford in the relegation final Dublin find in Group 1 alongside their opening round opponents Galway, Tipperary, Down and Offaly.
In round two Dublin make a trip to the Faithful County to take on Offaly, that’s followed in round 3 with another away trip to face a familiar foe in the shape of Tipperary.
Dublin round off the group stages of the League with a home fixture against Down.
There are no semi finals in the league with the top team from each group contesting the Division 1 League final on the weekend of the 9th/10th of April.
Also on that day the relegation final will take place between the bottom team in each group.
Dublin found themselves in that position last season and as a minimum Adrian O’Sullivan’s side will be looking to avoid a repeat of that scenario come the end of the group phase.
Aidrian O’Sullivans side will be playing catch-up from the off as they have a bye on the opening weekend and will then face a Galway side who will have already had a game under their belt against Offaly.
A defeat in their opening game will see Dublin needing to take maximum points from at least one of their next two away games either against Offaly or Tipperary and then secure victory in their final game at home against Down to avoid an unenviable repeat of facing a relegation final for the second year in a row.
In saying that there were big strides taken under O’Sullivan and his management team in last seasons championship and with the addition of some new faces this year and a good pre-season – Dublin will be confident of having a good league campaign.

Top team in each group into final.
Bottom in each group into relegation final.
