Liberty Insurance Senior All Ireland Camogie Championship Semi Final
Dublin v Kilkenny
Saturday 19th Of August
Venue: Gaelic Grounds, Limerick
Throw-In: 5:15pm
Referee: Ray Kelly (Kildare)
Dublin Senior Camogie manager David Herity has named his starting team to face Kilkenny in the Liberty Insurance Senior All Ireland Camogie Championship semi final which takes place in the Gaelic Grounds in Limerick with the game throwing in at 5:15pm.
Dublin qualified for the semi finals for the first time since 1990 thanks to a thrilling victory over Wexford in the quarter final by 1-16 to 0-12.
Kilkenny are the reigning champions and qualified straight through to the semi finals courtesy of topping their group and are favourites to reach the showpiece final in September.
Dublin as they were before their quarter final clash are classed as the underdogs for Saturday’s game, but as they proved against Wexford you write them off at your peril and that victory was a huge boost in confidence for the players.
All the expectation and pressure will be on Kilkenny to make the final whereas the girls in blue as the underdogs will be able to play with less fear and more freedom which maybe a significant factor in how the game pans out.
One thing is for sure Saturday’s game will be a titanic tussle between two very good sides. It took extra time to separate the teams when they met in the Leinster Championship and it could be another nail biting and tight encounter in the Gaelic Grounds this weekend.
Get ready to jump aboard for what is going to be a rollercoaster ride of excitement and emotion on Saturday from 5:15pm and it will be great to see a big traveling Dublin support there to cheer on the girls in blue who are just sixty plus minutes away from the All Ireland Final.
