Minor Camogie Championship Results

Sunday, November 25th 2018

As the year begins to wind to a close, so too does this year’s Dublin Minor Camogie Championship. And yesterday thirteen games were played across the A, B, C and E grades over Rounds 3 and 4.  This brings the round stages to an end in most of the competitions and the parings for the Championship and Shield Semi Finals will be set.

So let’s give you all the details form the weekend.

Minor A Camogie Championship

A 0-01 win over Lucan Sarsfields was enough to keep Kilmacud Crokes unbeaten in Group 1 and finish top. Sadly for Lucan that was their second loss having been beaten by Ballinteer in Round 1. Ballinteer and Faughs/Celtic played out a 3-01 to 2-04 draw, giving Ballinteer second spot in the group.

In Group 2 Ballyboden came out on top following a 3-14 to 0-09 victory over Castleknock, giving them a clean sweep of wins. Naomh Jude jumped to finish runners up after they beat Na Fianna 4-06 to 2-05.

Minor B Camogie Championship

St. Oliver Plunkett Eoghan Ruadh ended their round campaign with three wins from three following their 4-13 to 0-05 win against Cuala. Good Counsel’s win over Naomh Brid sees them also qualify for the Semi Finals with two wins from three.

On the other side of the competition, in the game to decide first and second slot, St. Vincents were 5-14 to 2-09 winners over Erins Isle topping the group. Skerries Harps picked up some consolation point by beating Naomh Fionnbarra 2-08 to 0-12. But it wasn’t enough to move them into the Championship draw.

Minor C Camogie Championship

With still one more round to play, Whitehall Colmcille did their hopes good with a 4-11 to 1-04 win over Thomas Davis. And they’ll play their final game against Naomh Peregrine, who are only a single point above them in the table. Naomh Mearnog finish their campaign on 5 points, but with a bye in the final round could lose out based on the Whitehall/Peregrines result.

Naomh Maur were victorious once again, beating Commercials 8-13 to 1-01, and keep them top of the table. Raheny got their second win over Naomh Barrog yesterday and will face Maurs next weekend in their last game. Naomh Olaf come off their bye next weekend to face Commercials.

Minor E Camogie Championship

Erins Isle B were victorious over Cuala B at the weekend, they’ll play Na Fianna C this weekend in their last round game. Cuala go into the last week on bye with Kilmacud Crokes C holding the top spot in the group.
