Weekly Inter County Fixtures

After 2 hectic weekends, we get a little breather but still action with weekly Inter County Fixtures in Camogie Championships

Weekly Inter County Fixtures

The last few weeks through July have been non stop. Action across Football, Hurling, Ladies Football and Camogie. We’ve had mixed fortunes but plenty to celebrate. The weekly inter county fixtures take their foot off the gas this week, and we’ve got 2 games to bring you details on.

Liberty Insurance Intermediate Camogie Championship
Dublin v Carlow
Trinity Sports Grounds

It’s the final round of this year’s Intermediate Camogie Championship. And with Dave Dunning’s side losing their opening two games, they’ll be gunning for a victory over Carlow this weekend.

The Dubs started their campaign with a 1-19 to 1-10 defeat at the hands of Meath. And last weekend they welcomed Galway to home soil and suffered their second defeat. Carlow are in a similar position. They’ve also been beaten by Meath and Galway so this weekend both Carlow and Dublin will battle to avoid relegation. But it’s about bringing a new group of players together and working on performances.

Trinity Soprts Grounds will once again host this game, with a 2:00pm throw in time.

All Ireland Minor Camogie Championship
Tipperary v Dublin
The Ragg, Tipperary

With both Dublin and Tipperary suffering losses to Galway, this is another situation where there’s everything to play for. And Dublin will still be looking to get out of Group A and into the knockout phase of the competition.

It was heartache for the Dublin Minors in their opening game with a point seperating them from an impressive Galway unit. But they may take heart from the 5-17 to 1-07 scoreline in Galway’s victory over Tipp on August 1st. This weekend’s game will see the winner finish runner up to Galway.

The Ragg will host this away trip for Dublin with a 2:00pm throw in on Sunday afternoon.

And that’s This week. Two Camogie Championship encounters to look forward to. Stay tuned throughout the week and we’ll bring you team news and updates on both fixtures.
