County Board meeting:

Leinster Poc Fada:

Congratulations to Dublin’s Faye McCarthy (Naomh Jude) who won the Leinster Poc Fada competition in Beann Eadair on Saturday 16 July. Best of luck to Faye when she competes in the All Ireland Poc Fada final later in the Summer. Well done also to Megan Thomas (Erin’s Isle) who was in second place in the under 16 Leinster Poc Fada competition

Intercounty Senior Championship:

The ecstasy and the agony! Dublin scored a massive 6-11 to 1-3 victory over Derry at O’Toole Park, Crumlin on Saturday. Despite this huge win Dublin narrowly failed to advance to the quarter finals by just three points.

They needed to win by 26 points to pip Tipperary to that quarter final spot. Well done to the players and management on their dedication and commitment and progress throughout the year.

Intercounty Premier Junior:

Tough luck on our Premier Juniors who lost to Carlow 1-06 to 4-10 in their championship game on Sunday. The team’s next outing will be on the 7th of August when they welcome Roscommon to the capital.

Intercounty Under 16 Championship:

The under 16A team continue their successful season with a well deserved win over Waterford side 4-11 to 1-12 on Sunday. They have already qualified for the semi-finals. They welcome Kilkenny to the capital next Sunday the 24th of July for the last of their group games.

Our under 16B team lost to Derry 2-03 to 2-05 in a low scoring game. They play host to Westmeath in their lost group game on Sunday the 31st of July.

Best Wishes For A Speedy Recovery:

Best wishes to Dublin under 16A captain and full forward Jessica McClelland (Lucan Sarsfields) who suffered a knee injury in the Clare match.
