County Board Meeting:
Minor Board meeting at 7pm followed by County Board meeting at 7.45pm on Monday the 11th of July.
Juvenile Championships:
The draw for this year’s Juvenile Championships will take place at our July Board meeting on Monday the 11th of July.
Reminder to all Juvenile Clubs that Wednesday 6th July (8pm) is the last time/date in which the Board will accept requests from Clubs to be regraded to a lower Championship than that in which they play league.
Management will meet on Thursday to consider requests. Recommendations will be brought back to next Mondays Board meeting (11th July) for ratification.
Intercounty Under 16 Championship:
Well done to our under 16s who started off their All Ireland campaign with a good 4-10 to 1-05 win over Limerick at Claughan GAA Club, Limerick. Their next game is against Clare this Saturday, 10th of July at a Dublin venue TBC.
Intercounty Premier Junior:
Tough luck on our Premier Juniors who lost 1-11 to 3-08 to Limerick in their Liberty Insurance Premier Junior All Ireland Championship game at Parnell‘s GAA club. Their next outing is this Sunday the 10th of July v Westmeath, away venue TBC.
Intercounty Senior Championship:
Despite a huge improvement in their performance against Kilkenny last week the Seniors lost 1-07 to 5-09 to Galway in Parnell Park on Saturday. Best of luck to the players and management this Saturday the 9th of July, when they take on Tipperary in a must win game at a Tipperary venue TBC.
Senior 1 Summer Cup:
Senior 1 Cup final takes place in Lucan Sarsfields on Tuesday the 5th of July between Lucan Sarsfields and Ballyboden St. Endas.
Leinster Poc Fada:
Best of luck to Megan Thomas (Erin’s Isle) and to Faye McCarthy (Naomh Jude) who take part in the Leinster under 16 and adult Poc Fada in Beann Eadair on Saturday the 16th of July.
Dublin Under 14 Blitz:
Best of luck to the many teams from all over the country and of course from Dublin who will be participating in the Dublin under 14 Blitz being held in Naomh Mearnog on Saturday the 9th of July.
Juvenile “Summer Cup”:
The Juvenile “Summer Cup” competition under 15 to Minor starts on Wednesday the 6th of July; under 12 to under 14 starts on Friday the 8th of July. An Rúnaí has sent fixtures to all clubs.
Adult 7-A-side Summer Cup:
The Adult “7 a side” competitions starts on Tuesday the 12th of July and Thursday the 14th of July. These competitions are for Club Players only with the emphasis on participation. Competition will conclude on the 9th of August. An Rúnaí has send fixtures to clubs.
Rising Stars Camogie Camp:
This 3 day Summer Camp for 8 to 12 year olds which takes place again this year at GAA Centre of Excellence, Abbotstown. Date: 25th to the 27th of July is now full.
