Congratulation to Dublin’s Premier Junior player Caragh Dawson (Naomh Jude) who has been nominated for the Littlewoods Ireland Camogie “Player of the League” Division 3 award. Best of luck on Friday (this Friday 19th May) when the winners will be announced at an awards night in Croke Park.

We Are Dublin GAA Adult Leagues:

Some very exciting games ahead in the next few weeks as the excellently well organised and well run We are Dublin Adult Camogie Leagues reach their conclusion. This Tuesday 16th May sees the clash of the top two teams in the Senior Premier League when current leaders Naomh Jude (6 wins out of 6) visit Moibhi Road at 7.30 to take on second placed Na Fianna (only one loss to St. Vincents in the first round). Referee is Jenny Byrne. Oliver Plunketts/Eoghan Ruadh are in pole position in Divisions 2 and 5. Cuala or Peregrines seem destined to take Div.3 honours. Div. 4 is wide open where any of 5 teams can take the honours. Naomh Barrog and Castleknock B are ahead in Div. 6 while Crumlin are in top spot in Div.7. Poc Fada 2017:

This year’s Dublin Poc Fada will take place on Wednesday 24 May (U-16) & Friday 26 May (Adult) in Beann Eadair. Clubs wishing to nominate a player from their club should do so before Monday 15 May. Depending on number of entries received Dublin Camogie may have to run off its own internal Poc Fada on Friday 19 May in the Phoenix Park. Leinster Poc Fada will take place on Saturday 24 June.

Friends of Dublin Hurling Golf Classic:

12th Annual Golf Classic at Castlewarden Golf and Country Club on Thursday, 25th May 2017 Format: ​4 person Scramble Cost:​​€250 per team. Tee-box Sponsorship: €100. If your GAA club enters a team FODH will enter a team or sponsor a hole in your club’s classic. Best GAA Club team will receive a €500 sports Voucher from Curran Hurling. Hurl with Me Programme 2017:

Dublin’s Round Towers and Thomas Davis clubs are included in the nationwide Hurl with Me Programme 2017 run by the Camogie Association in association with the National Dairy Council. The Hurl with Me Programme is a programme that supports parents’ involvement in the game. Check www.camogie.ie for all the details.

Hurl Smart Week:

The Camogie Association’s annually Hurl Smart Week will take place from Monday June 5th – Sunday June 11th. Run a ‘Hurl Smart Week’ in your club. Closing date for registering your interest is Monday May 22nd at 5pm.
