Below are the dates for the various courses being run by the Dublin Camogie County Board for anyone interested in becoming a referee. All applicants must be garda vetted or at the very least have the application submitted.
1. Juvenile Referee Course:
This course is for girls/boys/adults with a minimum age of 17 in the current year 2017. Born year 2000 or earlier. It is a 2 night course. The course covers all aspects of refereeing, and participants will be able to referee under 13/14 matches after course or higher depending on age.
The Cost of the course is €40, to cover referee jersey, however there is no charge if the girl/boy/adult already has camogie jersey, from refereeing Go Games.
Date for this course is the 21st of February and the 6th of March. Registration on night is at 6.30pm. Course places must be booked in advance. Participants can only book a position on course, through their own local club coordinator.
2. GO Games Referee Course:
This course is for girls/boys who wish to referee at the younger age groups of U8 to U12. It is a one night course. Girls/ boys must be minimum of 15 years old, or playing Under 15 in current year.
Participants who are over 16 will be requested to fill in garda vetting form and return to their club child protection officer.
Cost for the course is €40, to cover referee jersey. Participants will be expected to read rules prior to coming on course.
Dates For These Courses Are:
Go Games Course 1 – Thursday 9th of March
Go Games Course 2 – Tuesday 14th of March
Go Games Course 3 – Thursday 16th of March.
Registration on night is at 6.30pm. Course places must be booked in advance.
Participants can only book a position on a course, through their own local club coordinator.
