Dublin Camogie are organising a number of Referee Courses over the coming weeks. (Details outlined below).

There is a Level 1 Referee Course taking place on Wednesday the 27th of March. On completion of the course referees will be eligible to officiate games between the 13 to 16 year old age groups.

To be eligible to attend the Level 1 Course referees must first have completed a “First Whistler” Course.

The Dublin Camogie Referee Level 1 Course will take place in two venues simultaneously on the 27th of March, the northside venue is Naomh Bríd with the course starting at 7:30pm and the southside venue is Kilmacud Crokes also with a 7:30pm start. The fee for the course is €10 or €30 should attendee’s require a referee jersey.

Monday 1st A First Whistler Course will take place on Monday the 1st of April. The northside venue is Naomh Bríd with the course starting at 7:30pm. The southside is Cuala and again the course starts at 7.30pm.

First Whistle Referee Course:

This is the entry point on the Pathway, the Camogie First Whistle referee is equipped to referee Go Games only.

This is the individual’s first engagement in Camogie as a qualified referee and it is an opportunity for the individual to learn and gain confidence as a referee in a safe and positive environment.

First Whistle referees are eligible to referee Under 8/Under 10 and Under 12 Go Games and Under 12 Go Games Leagues.

Eligibility Requirements for the First Whistle course are as follows:

1. Must be a member of the Camogie Association or the GAA

2. Must be 15 years old to referee Under 8 and Under 10 Go Games

3. Must be 16 years old to referee Under 12 Go Games. Referees who reach their 16th birthday must be Garda vetted and have a recognised child protection course completed.

The fee for the First Whistle course is €10 or €30 if attendees require a referee jersey.
