The annual Dublin Camogie Dub Stars game takes place this coming Sunday the 29th of December in the Sport Ireland Campus in Abbotstown with the game throwing-in at 11am.

The game will be between the Dub Stars selection and the Dublin Senior Camogie team.

The Selection team features the standout players from the Senior 1 and Senior 2 club championships and were chosen by a selection committee that attended matches throughout both championships.

If Dub Stars games over the last number of years are anything to go by, this weekends affair will be a competitive encounter as the cream of the club scene look to secure the bragging rights over the Dublin Senior Camogie team.

The Dublin senior players though will be looking to impress new manager Willie Braine as they continue their preparations for the start of the National Camogie League at the end of January – which should guarantee a top quality match on Sunday.

Admission to the game is free of charge but there will be a bucket collection on the day and all the money collected will be donated to a homeless charity.

So Sunday’s event is a great opportunity to blow away the Christmas cobwebs and witness the skills of the top Camogie players in the county and maybe get a photo or two and a couple of autographs from the Dublin players after the game.
