Dublin’s U16A and Minor Camogie Panels are in Leinster and All Ireland action in Grangegorman this afternoon
Dublin v Offaly
Leinster U16A Camogie Championship. 1:00pm
Dublin v Galway
Electric Ireland Minor Camogie Championship. 3:00pm
TU Dublin, Grangegorman
This afternoon for both the Dublin U16A and Minor Camogie panels is an afternoon of huge importance. And an opportunity tomake ground on both the Leinster U16 Championship and Electric Ireland Minor Championship.
The U16s have looked good in the championship so far. However they have yet to secure a victory. Defeats to Wexford and Laois see this afternoon’s clash with Offaly as one of vital importance. A victory here and a win against Kilkenny in their final round game could still see them competing for Leinster Silverware. But today’s result must be a victory to change their fortune.
Straight after the 16s game Dublin‘s Minor Camogie panel will take on Galway. And like the 16s a win is a must for the girls as they fight for All Ireland credit. They’ve already suffered heavy losses to both Cork and Tipperary. And today is their final home game before facing road trips to both Waterford and Kilkenny to finish off their campaign. These are a talented bunch who just need a little rub of the green to get up and running. Let’s hope it’s this afternoon.
