We Are Dublin GAA Inter 1 Camogie Championship Final

Castleknock and Erins Isle will battle it out for We Are Dublin GAA Inter 1 Championship glory tomorrow afternoon in Round Towers in Clondalkin with the title and promotion to Senior 2 on the line.

Both teams head into tomorrow’s Inter 1 camogie Final with unblemished records through their respective championship campaigns.

Castleknock top group one of the Inter 1 Championship winning all four of their group games finishing with an impressive accumulative 108 points and conceding just 23 points in total.

The Castleknock side enjoyed wins over Naomh Fionnbarra by 2-19 to 1-06, Na Fianna B by 5-11 to 0-00, Naom Bríd by 5-10 to 1-04 and Naomh Peregrine by 6-14 to 1-04.

Their opposition in the semi final were St Vincents B who finished runners-up in group two, after a titanic battle Castleknock won with two points to spare with the final score 1-14 to 1-12.

Erins Isle have been equally impressive in their run to the final. The Finglas outfit topped group two winning all three of their group games finishing with a cumulative scoring total of 64 points and conceding just 22 points.

Isle’s opened their Inter 1 Camogie Championship with an 11 point win over St Vincents B with the final score 2-13 to 1-05. That was followed by wins over Ballyboden St Endas B by 2-16 to 0-11 and Naomh Padraig by 4-11 to 0-03.

Naomh Bríd who finished in second place in group one were the opponents in the Inter 1 championship semi final and Erins Isle claimed a five point win on a scoreline of 1-11 to 1-06.

Tomorrow’s Inter 1 Camogie Championship Final between the two unbeaten teams promises to be an exciting and entertaining game. The action gets underway in Round Towers at 1.30pm and admission into the final ticket is just €5 per adult, €3 for OAP’s and Juveniles under 16 are free.

The winners of tomorrow’s final will be back in action the following weekend against the Kildare champions Johnstown Bridge in the Leinster club championship.
