Ballinteer St Johns won the We Are Dublin GAA Senior 7A Club Championship title this afternoon in Parnells GAA Club against Commercials.
Ballinteer hit the ground running with two goals inside the opening three minutes of the final to set them on the way. They added two more goals by the twentieth minute to all but finish the game off.
Commercials in fairness to them battled gamely throughout and they raised a green flag of their own three minutes before the break, but they left themselves a mountain to climb in second half as they went in at the break fourteen points in arrears.
But all credit to Commercials who made a real fight of it in the second half and made it a much more even contest after the break.
But Ballinteer hit their fifth goal of the contest in the thirteenth minute of the second period and ran out comfortable winners in the end.
