Dublin have another crack at Kilkenny this evening in this year’s All Ireland Senior Camogie Quarter Finals
Dublin v Kilkenny
Saturday, July 16th. 5:30pm
Semple Stadium, Thurles
Brimming with massive potential, Adrian O’Sulivan’s Dublin Senior Camogie panel make the trip down to Thurles later today. And they’ll face Leinster Champions Kilkenny. A place in this year’s Glen Dimplex All Ireland Senior Semi Finals is what’s at stake.
While it’s hard to look past Kilkenny’s impressive showing against Dublin in the recent Leinster Senior Camogie Final, O’Sullivan has closed ranks since the defeat and built progressivley during a tough Round Robin campaign.
Yes, Dublin will have been disappointed leaving points behind against both Tipperary and Clare. And the 2-10 to 0-09 scoreline in their loss to Cork really doesn’t reflect on the girls performance in that game in St. Peregrines. But anyone who witnessed the 4-14 to 2-10 victory over Wexford seeing them qualify for today’s test will know that the panel can stand shoulder to shoulder with any side in the grade.
With the lessons learned over the past number of weeks, O’Sullivan’s panel are certainly more prepared now then they might have been back in May, and they won’t fear Kilkenny this evening in what is hopefully a good open contest.
