Lidl Ladies National Football League Division 1 Final
Dublin v Mayo
Sunday 6th Of May
Venue: Parnell Park
The excitement is building ahead of the highly anticipated Lidl Ladies NFL Final between Dublin and Mayo in Parnell Park on the 6th Of May at 4pm.
It’s a repeat of the 2017 All Ireland Final last September which Dublin won by 4-11 to 0-011 to lift the Brendan Martin Cup for the second time in the counties history.
The two sides met earlier in the regular rounds of the league on the 24th of February in McHale Park and once again it was the girls in blue who triumphed thanks to two goals from full forward Oonagh Whyte to claim a two point win on a scoreline of 2-08 to 0-12.
It took a dramatic late goal against Galway from Nicole Owens to seal Dublin’s final berth in a game that Mick Bohan’s charges performed well below their normal standards.
In the other semi final Mayo put a stop to Corks bid for a sixth league title in a row thanks to what proved a decisive second half goal from Sinead Cafferky to give the girls from the West a two point victory.
