Back came Dublin and the influential Lyndsey Davy replied with an excellent point after some great interplay by the Dubs. Annette Clarke replied for Galway and then came the score if the half a brilliant long range effort from Lyndsey Davey.
Galway then had a short spell of dominance and put themselves two up after a string of fine points. But back came Dublin with points from Lyndsey Davey, Carla Rowe and Noelle Healy.
Galway drew level with minutes left in the half from Barbara Hannon but Dublin finished the half strongest with two frees from Sinead Aherne. So it’s all to play for in the second half and it’s going to take a mighty effort to get over the line. -Nigel
