The start of the 2018 inter-county season for the various Dublin Ladies Football squads from U14 to Senior is fast approaching.

The season will get up and running on the 28th of January with TG4 All Ireland Champions Dublin making the long trip to the Northwest to play Donegal in opening round of the Lidl National Football League.

The weekend of the 3rd and 4th of March will see the U14 and U16 squads getting the defence of their Leinster crowns underway with both respective squads heading to the Royal county to face Meath.

The Dublin Minors will go in search of their eight Leinster title in a row when they get their campaign up and running against either Wicklow or Laois in the quarter finals on the 18th of March.

If Mick Bohan’s senior side qualify for the Lidl NFL Division 1 Final it will take place on the 6th of May.

The senior squad are chasing their seventh Leinster title in a row, but with the strange fact that this year there are only two senior teams in Leinster, something surely the Leinster council and LGFA must look at going forward, Dublin will in a repeat of last seasons decider, play Westmeath in the Leinster Final on either the 23rd of June or the 1st of July.

If the Dublin seniors successfully defend their Leinster title they head straight into the TG4 Senior Football Championship quarter finals which take place on the 6th, 11th and 12th of August.

The semi finals are pencilled in for the weekends of the 18th/19th and 25th/26th of August and the All Ireland Final is scheduled for the 16th of September.

Most of the venues and throw-in times will be confirmed nearer to the date of each game and as soon as they are released you will find them on our website www.wearedublin.com and our various social media accounts and also on the Dublin LGFA website www.dublinladiesgaelic.ie and their corresponding social media accounts.

All of us here at We Are Dublin GAA would like to wish all the players and management teams the very best of luck for the season ahead #COYGIB
