HIGHLIGHTS – DUBLIN SENIOR ‘A’ HURLING QUARTER FINALS: CRAOBH CHIARAIN v ST. VINCENTS
ST VINCENT’S 2-14 CRAOBH CHIARAIN 1-10
Cian McBride and Conor Burke saw St Vincent’s safely into the last-four of the Dublin SHC ‘A’ with two vital goals, giving the Marino men a seven-point victory in Sunday’s quarter-final
The sides were all square with only seven minutes to play but it was Vincents who finished the stronger.
To Craobh Chiarain’s credit, with the assistance of Alan McCrabbe, they had the majority of the momentum in the opening half, finishing in front on 1-08 to 1-05 at the break.
Vincents got the first goal of the day when a Rian McBride’s effort hit the woodwork and Burke was there to take on the rebound.
But two minutes before the break Paul Kelly got on the end of a huge ball from Robbie McMahon to raise a green flag for Craobh Chiarain.
The sides were level, 1-10 each, in the 53rd minute, until Tom Connolly grabbed three scores for Vincents, adding to the scores his older brother Diarmuid already chalked up, Rian McBride and Ronan Fallon also raised white flags with Cian McBride ensuring victory with Vincent’s second goal in the 56th minute.
