Leinster Senior Football Final Half-Time Report

Half-Time in the Leinster Senior Football Championship Final between Dublin and Meath in Croke Park and Dublin lead after the first thirty five minutes on a scoreline of:

Dublin 1-12 Meath 0-06

Dublin have a very deserved lead at the break after fairly dominating possession and been very clinical in front of goal.

Meath have really struggled with Dublin pace, power and interplay and looked out on the feet at the half-time whistle.

Michael Darragh MacAuley,Paul Flynn,Cian O’Sullivan and James McCarthy have been unplayable in the middle sector winning most of the ball that has gone in there. At the back late replacement Michael Fitzsimons in for Jonny Cooper has been excellent turning over the ball regularly. Meath have had some chances but their shooting has been woeful.

At the other end Dublin have been very efficient with Bernard And Alan Brogan along with Dublin’s best player Kevin McManamon causing the Meath defense all sorts of problems and knocking over some really classy points.

Dublin’s goal came from Bernard Brogan after his initial shot was blocked the ball ended up between the feet of brother Alan and Betnard followed up and poked it to the net. Dublin did have another goal chance just before the break when a Kevin McManamon shot came back off the crossbar. -Nigel
