So the Senior 1 semi final line ups are almost complete as we enter the final round. St Vincents, Ballyboden St Endas and Na Fianna have secured the first three spots with the likelihood that Lucan Sarsfields will take the final spot. Heres how we think the final 3 games will play out…

Raheny v Lucan Sarsfields ,
Venue: St Annes Pk, Sunday 5th Oct,
Throw-In: 11am

The home side shipped a fairly heavy defeat in round 2 and will be eager to put in a good performance to restore a bit of pride. Lucan however, know a win will secure them the last semi final spot. The Sarsfields girls, whilst carrying a few injuries should have enough firepower for their hosts, Ali Twomey, Ailbhe Ryan and Sarah Courtney will take a lot of watching otherwise it could be another long shift for the Raheny girls.

Verdict: Lucan Sarsfields

Ballyboden St Enda’s v Na Fianna,
Venue: Ballyboden, Sunday 5th Oct,
Throw-In: 11am

Both teams have secured their spot in the last four, but whoever can bag the win will secure home advantage for the semi final, so theres plenty to play for. There is very little between these sides whenever they meet and tomorrow will follow similar lines. Na Fianna’s ultra tough defence will face its toughest test to date and the Boden girls will be boosted by the return of their football contingent. The current champions will probably do enough to see off the Mobhi Road women and secure top spot and a home semi final.

Verdict: Ballyboden St Enda’s

Naomh Mearnog v Naomh Brid,
Venue: Portmarnock, Sunday 5th Oct,
Throw-In: 11am

The first two rounds were ones to forget for the two sides and both will feel tomorrow is a must win game. A good tight tense affair is bound to ensue . If Mearnogs can get enough ball into Sarah Ryan and ensure that Grainne Quinn doesn’t dominate the half back line for the visitors , the Portmarnock girls might just sneak it.

Verdict: Naomh Mearnog
