Dublin Junior Premier Half-Time Report.

Half-Time in Liberty Insurance Premier Junior All Ireland Championship game between Dublin and Westmeath in O’Toole Park,Crumlin and Dublin lead at the break on a scoreline of:

Dublin 2-03 Westmeath 1-05

Dublin have taken a narrow lead into the dressing rooms after a very keenly contested first thirty minutes.

Neither side has dominated with space at a premium for both sets of forwards. Dublin cause has been helped by two goals the first from Ali McGrath and the second a soft goal from a free taken by Michelle Kelly which the Westmeath keeper spilled to the net.

The heavens opened and made conditions very slippery and Westmeath got a lucky goal thanks to the slippery ball. A high speculative ball slipped through the fingers of Dublin goal keeper Sile Nic Coiter into the net for a goal Westmeath hardly deserved.

So it’s all to play for in the second half with the result in the balance and Dublin will have to contend with playing against a very strong breeze.-Nigel20140803-152642-55602751.jpg
