DUBLIN CAMOGIE WEEKLY NOTES

County Board meeting in Parnell Park Monday 13 October – Minor Board 7pm followed by County Board at 7.45.

Congratulations to Deirdre Johnstone (Naomh Uinsionn) on being named on the 2014 Soaring All Stars team. Deirdre succeeds her clubmate Carolanne Canning who was honoured in 2013. Deirdre will receive her award in City West Hotel on 1 November at the Camogie All Stars Banquet.

We are Dublin championships: Senior 1 and Senior 3 finals take place in O’Toole Park, Crumlin on Sunday 19 October: Senior 1 final Ballyboden St. Endas v Naomh Uinsionn at 4pm. Senior 3 – winners of Ballyboden St. Endas/Portobello v winners of Thomas Davis/Crumlin at 2.30 (these semi-finals will be played on Tuesday night). Senior 2, 4 and 5 finals takes place in O’Toole Park on Sunday, 26th October

Juvenile Championships: All 15 underage championship finals will take place on weekend of 1/2 November. Check www.dublincamogie.ie for details of all championship and shield fixtures.

All League and championship cups and shields (adult and underage) should be returned to the County Board immediately. Our thanks to clubs who have already done so. Fines will apply for failure to return these.

31 October is the deadline for the Minor A Management team. Check www.dublincamogie.ie for details. Completed applications can be returned to Mona O’Sullivan, Rúnaí, Dublin Camogie, by post to An Rúnaí, 4 Orlagh Court, Knocklyon, Dublin 16 or by emailing www.secretary.camogie.dublin@gaa.ie

The under 13 – 16 A, B and C juvenile championships are also at the semi-final stages. All details can be viewed on www.dublincamogie.ie/fixtures/results Please ensure that all trophies are returned to the Minor Board in time.

The County Board will commence our Minor Championships from the 9th November onwards. It is proposed to stage a Minor “A”, “B” and subject to entries a “C” competition. Clubs are requested to return their entry to An Runai by Monday 13th Oct. Clubs should nominate which championship they wish to enter and this will be taken into account when structures/schedules are being drawn up.

Juvenile Gala Blitzes will take place as follows: under 8-10 Gala Blitzes will be on Saturday/Sunday 18/19 October; under 11 Gala Blitz on Sunday 9 November. Under 12 on Saturday 25 October (Bank Holiday W/E). Friday 19 September is the deadline for receipt of entries.
