DUBLIN CAMOGIE WEEKLY NOTES.
An EGM of the Dublin Camogie County Board will take place on Monday 12 January in Parnell Park at 7pm to fill the following positions:
County Secretary, Minor Chairperson, Development Officer, and Assistant Treasurer. Please forward your nominations for above positions to An Rúnaí. Please check that the person you are nominating is willing to put their name forward. It is vital that clubs submit nominations for these positions. All positions must be filled to ensure that successful running of camogie in Dublin in 2015. Registration Night is Monday 26 January. County Board Meeting is Monday 9 February.
The Dublin Camogie Annual Awards Night will take place in Westmanstown Sports and Conference Centre on Saturday 31st January 2015. Tickets are priced at €20 each and includes a 3 course Sit down meal, music, raffle, awards and plenty of craic. Any victorious adult clubs and teams from 2014 are encouraged to take a table for this enjoyable celebration evening. Awards to the club will include Club of the year, Championship, league etc. Clubs will be contacted early in the New Year re. the ordering of tickets for this event. Alternatively tickets can be requested through the Rúnaí at Secretary.firstname.lastname@example.org
Well done to all the players who presented on Sunday for the first Premier Junior trial game at DCU. The remaining (and last) trial game will take place on this Wednesday evening, 7 January, at Thomas Davis All Weather pitch at Kiltipper at 7pm sharp. The selected Premier Junior panel will be posted on the website later in the week after the players have been informed. Best of luck to all the participating players.
U13 Development Squad 2015 (Players born 2002) nominations for this squad will be circulated to club secretaries and posted on the Dublin camogie website in the coming days. The first phase of activity will be from mid-January to mid-February. Dates and venues will be notified in due course.
Under 15 School of Excellence – clubs are invited to send up to 2 girls born in the year 2000 who were not on the 2014 Dublin U14 squad, to attend a series of School of Excellence Coaching session and assessments with the 2015 Dublin U15 Camogie Development Management team. The initial sessions will take place, pitch and weather permitting, in Ballinteer St. Johns All-weather facility (beside Ballinteer Community School, Broadford Road) Friday 9th Jan 6:30pm & Sun 11th Jan 9am. Dates, times and venues for further sessions are yet to be confirmed. Please send all nominated players names and contact phone numbers for parent/guardian to Joe Leonard at email@example.com or firstname.lastname@example.org by Jan 6th. Be assured that the Management team for Dublin U15 Development Squad 2015 will continue to look for talented players throughout next year.
