DUBLIN CAMOGIE CHAIRMAN TO LEAD LEINSTER CAMOGIE FROM 2016.

A Dubliner will assume the position of Chair of the Leinter Camogie Council in 2016 for the first time in almost 30 years. In the election for Cathaoirleach Tofa (Chair Elect) at the Leinster Camogie Convention in Portlaoise on Saturday 17 January 2015, Pat Martin from the St Brigid’s Club in Blanchardstown defeated Richard Mulholland of the James Stephens Club in Kilkenny.

Pat is the current Development Officer of (left) Leinster Council and Chair of the Dublin County Board and will take over from present Chair Rachel Hogan of Wexford next year. He will hold the position for a three year term.

Previous Dubs to hold the top spot in Leinster include Phyllis Breslin and Patricia Rafferty. The last Dub to hold the position was Phyllis Breslin in the 1990s.

All of us here at We Are Dublin would like to wish Pat all the very best in his new position.
