Camogie Notes Monday July 21st.

County Teams:
Well done to the Dublin under 16 B team who overcame a strong Armagh side in the All Ireland series. Elsewhere in the Liberty All Ireland series our gallant Seniors lost to Wexford; our Premier Juniors suffered a heavy defeat at the hands of Down and our under 16A players lost to favourites Clare. Our thanks to Dublin GAA for the use of Parnell Park for the Liberty Senior All Ireland Dublin v Wexford clash.

Under 13 Development Squad:
The remaining sessions for this School of Excellence have been scheduled as follows: Friday July 2; Friday August 15; Friday August 22; Friday August 29. All sessions will take place in the Camogie Grounds Phoenix Park with a 7pm start. If for any reason these arrangements have to be changed a notice will be posted on this website. Dublin Summer Camps for all – Rising Star Camp for 8-12 year olds starts 15 July. Dublin Player Lifestyle Camp for 13-16 year olds starts 28 July Southside and 29 July Northside See for details and application forms.

Leagues/Summer Cup: We are Dublin Leagues 1-7. Top 4 play-offs will take start on Tuesday/ Thursday 12/14 August while the Summer Cup finals will be played before end of July.

Puc Fada: Best wishes to Stephanie Carthy(Naomh Mearnog) in the National finals in the Cooley Mountains on the August Bank Holiday weekend.

Reminder to clubs to vote for the Camogie County Player of the Decade: The County Board is organising the Dublin County Player of the Decade Award (2005 – 2014) as part of the 110th year celebrations of the Camogie Association. The County Player of the Decade refers to playing seasons in the period 2005-2014 inclusive. Criteria for County Player of the Decade: Role model/sportsmanship (club/county) 30%; Playing excellence at county level 30%; Longevity of playing career (club/county) 20%; Dedication/commitment to county 20%. Only one nomination will be accepted from each club – a club cannot nominate one of its own players. Names must be returned to An Rúnaí no later than Friday 1 August.

Blitz for Leinster clubs:
Leinster Council are holding an under 12 Camogie Blitz on Saturday 16th August in O’Connor Park, Tullamore to celebrate 110 years of Camogie. Closing date for registration is Friday, 1st August at 5pm. Participants will be entered into draw to play in Croke Park on October. The Camogie Association Season Ticket “Cairde Camogie” is available to purchase online from, GAA outlets and in-store at Centra & Supervalu outlets.

This ticket allows the purchaser access to all rounds of the Liberty Insurance All Ireland Camogie Championship, quarter-finals, semi-finals and finals (Croke Park). County Boards will also receive 20% of all loyalty sales tickets. The ticket represents fantastic value. The below prices for individual games are also listed. Admission to all individual Liberty Insurance Senior Championship games are €10/£8 per adult; €5/£4 per student/OAPS and Juveniles (Over 10 years of age and up to U18) €2/£1. Admission to all Liberty Insurance Intermediate/Premier Junior/Junior A & B are €8/£6; Students/OAPS €5/£4 and Juveniles (Over 10years of age and up to U18) €2/£1.
